- Born in Sibsagar District of Assam, Completed BE from Jorhat Engineering College under Dibrugarh University, ME from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati under Gauhati University. PhD from NIT Silchar. Worked as Part time Faculty in Civil Engineering Department of Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat before joining NIT Silchar in August 2005 as Lecturer. Life Member of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), Indian Road Congress (IRC), Institute of Engineers (India) and Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) USA.
